Director of Port, Takoradi
Welcome to the Port of Takoradi.

The Port  is a vital trade gateway to Ghana and the landlocked countries of Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger.
The Port is a key economic driver for both the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis and the Ghanaian economy.  It serves as a strategic link between the country’s business sectors and the global marketplace, creating opportunities for various sectors of the economy including
tourism.

Over the last 14 years, the Port has become the central pivot around which Ghana’s growing oil and gas industry revolves, by providing quality and cost-efficient services to the industry’s major players.

As one of the nation’s important trade and industry facilitating assets, keeping it innovative in order to stay viable and competitive is a key priority for Management. We are committed to sustaining and enhancing the Port’s leading role in providing quality customer service, environmental stewardship, security and community partnership to expand and improve Port operations sustainably.

With the dedication and resilience of Port Management, staff and stakeholders which have characterized the Port’s operations through its long and proud history over the last 93 years, we look forward to greater collaboration among all stakeholders for customer satisfaction. In view of this we will continue to foster partnerships within and outside the maritime industry to improve on all spheres of our operations. Our proximity to Ghana’s rich natural resources, coupled with our high productivity and excellent services makes the Port a prime investment location.
